3. MODEL HISTORY

The DB9 was designed by Henrik Fisker and was first introduced at the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show. The letters "DB" are the initials of David Brown, the owner of Aston Martin for a significant part of its history. Although it succeeded the DB7, Aston Martin did not name the car DB8 due to fears that the name would suggest that the car was equipped with a V8 engine (the DB9 has a V12). It was also reported that Aston Martin believed that naming the car "DB8" would indicate a gradual evolution and misrepresent the car. The DB9 was the first model to be built at Aston Martin's Gaydon facility in Warwickshire, England.

4. INTERIOR

The interior of the DB9 is a special and luxurious place to be. Our car from the factory was opted with the Caithness Sandstorm leather interior with twin needle stitching to consist of the sport seats, lower stitching in cream truffle, Black Cherry carpets, touched with leather inserts to the door cards and binnacle, with the gloss black dash trim, Obsidian Black steering wheel, door upper cappings in leather, Mahogany inlays, and mats with Aston Martin engine start button being the centrepiece of the driver's console tunnel.

5. EXTERIOR

Finished in the desirable Onyx Black (Fast Track) metallic paintwork, the DB9 Volante looks stunning from every angle. Optioned from the factory with the 19" 5-spoke alloy wheels, chrome front grille, magnum silver meshes and grey Aston Martin embossed brake callipers.
