The second generation Range Rover Sport or L494 made its world debut on the 27th of March 2013 at the New York motor show. Unlike many new car introductions from before, this brand new model offered by the company was to be something quite special, so the event was to include a world class launch party showcased to the globe with many streets in the Manhattan area completely closed off for the event, with the leading role to be battled out between this spectacular new SUV and of course James Bond actor Daniel Craig, who was also playing a role in this unforgettable introduction. The L494 Range Rover Sport was a capable off-road vehicle going through muddy terrain or when winter hits and the snow falls as well as being superb at its everyday job of cruising around towns or cities with maximum comfort and minimal effort. Our example was opted from new with the three litre V6 diesel engine, which generates a more than healthy 306 brake horse power with a torque value of 516, which will mean acceleration from 0-62 mph will arrive in just 7.2 seconds and will further glide to an electrically limited top speed of 135 mph, with all this power effortlessly controlled by the eight speed automatic transmission.
